Abertay University is based in the heart of Dundee, on the east coast of Scotland. We were the first university in the world to offer a degree in Ethical Hacking and remain unique thanks to the ‘offensive’ approach we take in our teaching – students learn to think like a hacker in order to tackle them.

We support requirements in many professional areas. Our consultants are subject matter experts who provide an advisory service tailored to your needs.

BAE Systems

We use our intelligence-led insights to help defend Governments, Nations and societies from cyber-attacks and financial crime. Our customers depend on our evolving capabilities to help them safely grow their organisations. Our unprecedented access to threat intelligence, world-leading analysts and market-leading technology means we can help them to adapt, evolve and stay ahead of the criminals.

We’re looking for people to join our talented set of software developers and cyber researchers within BAE Systems’ Cyber Security business. This is a fast-paced team with high standards and high expectations, although we are humble enough to know that we always need to improve!

We work across a range of platforms including desktop, mobile and embedded systems and a range of languages including Python, C# and Java (although we still do enough native coding that our hearts will always belong to C++ and asm!). It’s important to us that our staff really understand how computers work, so we like them to have a good helping of OS internals familiarity, reverse engineering and just a dash of software exploitation. You don’t need to know all (or indeed any) of that already, but you need to be curious about how things work and willing to learn.

So, if you want a challenging, fast-paced role to push you out of your comfort zone, if you want the feel of small company with the security of a blue chip giant, and if you want to work somewhere that invests in your development as much as you do, then come and talk to us.
